Perfect for extra support in 5th wheel trailer

The wire shelf system in my 5th wheel closet collapsed under the weight of my cloths. I purchased these rod supports so that I could put up a real closet pole. I used five of these supports evenly spaced along the length of the rod, along with 2 metal rod end supports attached to the walls at each end of the rod (I did use longer screws). Not only can I fill my entire closet rod full of cloths & travel, but the cloths are now centered in the closet as well. These were well worth the money.

The finish and construction is done very well but it was too long and did not work. I used the Stanly shelf bracket and hole to support the rod is to low for it to work.

These clothespins are made in China and come wrapped in cellophane and clipped to a cardboard card. They were about 25% smaller than the average clothespin. The cardboard card was saturated with some kind of oil-based product apparently transferred there from the clothespins (they were covered with it). When I opened the package, the smell was an unpleasant chemical smell, but not strong. As I unclipped the pins from the card, my fingertips began to itch....hmmmm... I was waiting to hang my first load out on my new line, so I used them anyway, but found they had weak spring mechanisms. Great for sheets, but forget hanging towels or jeans! When taking down the laundry 5 hours later, my white sheets had a faint transfer of this oil on the corners where the clothespins were attached. I packed them up and sent them back. Home Depot carried raw wood clothespins, without the added chemical oil spray, of a heavier gauge, so I bought those...very happy now. Sorry Amazon....

Fine for a craft, but won't hang your laundry

I purchased these for a craft project, and I had figured that a clothes pin was a clothes pin. Wrong! They are very poorly made, and fling apart quite easily. They hardly open... like only an eighth of an inch! It was fine for a kindergarten craft project, and we could clip them to paper, but there is NO WAY that you could use these on clothes. They would never open enough to fit on the line, and I am sure they would come apart from even light laundry weight. Just be sure they meet your needs before you order.

Ties, Yes. Belts, no way

I purchased this item for my belt collection. Yes, I have wide belts with ornate buckles and narrow belts with simple buckles. Didn't matter. This is NOT a BELT HANGER. It IS a TIE HANGER. I placed my son's few ties on it and great. I gave one to a friend. I still am in search for a belt hanger. Although I just ordered an item, I am cautious about it's ability to help me wrangle my fashion accessories. So, if it's belts you want to hang, move on. The clips are too narrow and closely spaced together to accommodate belts and any type of buckle.

I gave this tie and belt hanger to my grandson for Christmas and he is very happy with it. He's a teenager and has about 8 ties, he like's the hanger because it doesn't take up much room in his closet. And the price very very good. I would suggest buying this product to anyone just starting out collecting a few nice ties to keep in good shape.

Sure, it looks nice enough without anything on it. But if you plan to actually hang coats and umbrellas on it, pick something else. It's tippy and it doesn't hold very many coats without the pegs cracking and breaking off. It's cheap, but you're getting less than what you pay for. It couldn't last a winter when being used by only two people.

cheap

i bought this barely a year ago. it is made of very cheap lightweight wood. we didn't abuse it, it only had a couple of coats and hats in our two-person household. but the other day one of the three wooden base tripod pieces cracked. it wasn't fixable and so it went in the trash. i understand that you get what you pay for, but i feel that if i wanted to spend only $20, i wish i would have bought a metal coat rack that would have been uglier but more durable. this one was defnitely flimsy and unstable even before it broke.

First, the 16" model is available at Target for $479.99 (but we did have to pay a 5% sales tax)The instructions are reasonably straight forward but should be read very carefully and:(1) Make sure that you do not block any electrical outlets with the shelving by planning ahead and(2) If you can find studs do so, plastic anchors they supply are OK, but the whole system is cantilevered (that is no support on the floor) so you have to be in solid to the wall, especially at the one bracket end.(3) Finally when installing the tower brackets do make sure that they are the right distance apart AND in proper alignment to the top brackets that were the first step in installation, otherwise you might have the top shelf resting on only PART of the tower (it will work but not look "finished."Also, you will need a 10 foot ceiling to hang two clothes racks in the same bay, on an eight foot ceiling you will be out of luck there is just not enough vertical space to do it.

Spend more time on plan than install

It was easier than wire shelving. The supplied hollow wall anchors are so-so. Using a cordless drill, hammer, and miter saw speed things up. If you are lucky enough to have straight walls, you shouldn't need the hammer. If you don't want arms like Popeye, get a drill (all fasteners are screws). This system also gives you a perfect excuse to go buy a laser level. Once the tools are collected and the plan is FINALLY agreed upon, the closet can be installed and used in under a day.

Good looking do-it-yourself option

We bought one kit for a 7' reach-in closet and had to modify it a bit because the instruction book gives suggestions for 10' and 8' layouts. I'd recommend a circular saw for cutting shelves and rods if your closet is not exactly 8' or 10'. Also not on the "required tools" list were a stud-finder and a drill. We found drilling pilot holes to be appropriate in some cases, and the large numbers of screws made using our drill a must. The wood is soft and frayed slightly when cut. Because of that, and a few nicks during installation, the included touch-up stain came in handy. Also useful was a transparent grid which allowed us to play around with different layouts before we ever began. Installation took two handy people about 6 hours, partly because of the limited space in the closet. I'd recommend removing the closet doors if you're not installing in a walk-in. I'd also HIGHLY recommend reading the instructions all the way through before beginning, laying out all the materials and labeling the bags of screws by length, and taking your time. This is not a job that can be rushed. When complete the closet looked great and the system is very sturdy.

Best closet ever!

I installed these about 2 years ago in my master closet x 2. I found the corner unit and installed that so that I have a very complete closet system. My closet looks fantastic, especially since I went to costco and bought the non slip velvet type hangers they sell. This system is extremely easy to install. The only problem I had was that it was a bit ungainly putting in some of the shelving. I remember having to hoist some big prebuilt pieces in. I love love love my closet. I changed it up a little to customize it. I put a 24 drawer in mine and one of the wire racks at the bottom of one of the shelving sections. The wire basket is great for throwing in all your summer sandals and flip flops. It is an easy system to install but it does take time. Don't think you can whip this in in a half hour. It took me at least 5 hours to do both sides of my very large closet. (approx. 14x12)and I had to go back to the store to get more parts so I could go wall to wall to wall so it probably took me longer than that. The best part is that this system is not sitting on the floor. If I want to recarpet, I do not have to dismantle my closet system to do so, and that is especially why I picked this type of system. I was attracted to the one bar hanging system. The first thing you do is find studs, measure for the height to mount the hanging bar on, then mount the bar by using screws to stud. Once you have the bar mounted, it is a matter of hanging the walls,attaching rods,adding shelves and cloths. In addition to hanging this system, I first had to remove all of my clothes, paint the insides and then rehang all of my clothes. If you are going to go to the work of hanging up this beautiful new system you don't want to have ugly old scuffed up walls behind it, so spend the extra time and 10.00 to paint. You won't be sorry.

I LOVE EASY TRACK CLOSET SYSTEMS!

I have purchased and installed dozens of Easy Track and other brands' closet systems and accessories over the past 18 years. Easy Track is by far my favorite and what I have chosen to use in my own closets. Great quality, reasonable pricing and unmatched versatility. As a matter of fact, the reason I saw this item is because I am shopping for components to re-configure my existing closet design...try easily doing that with wire or any other systems!Product quality and durability is unsurpassed. I imagine Easy Track doesn't appreciate it that I have many components from my original closet installation 18 years ago, in my current closet. They do not wear out!With regards to the quality of the instructions, yes, the instructions used to be much more helpful and clear. The Easy Track system parent company has changed ownership over the years and whoever they have had edit the currently supplied directions apparently does not communicate well with others.Remember these few points:1.) Do not worry about having to do math like they say in the instructions. MOUNT THE TRACK 76" FROM THE FLOOR. This works well for users 4' 10" and up.2.) Invest in a stud finder. Even the cheap electronic ones work well for this. Try to put two screws in every stud if possible. Rarely have I had to use toggles and even then, if you mark and drill the toggle holes centered behind a hole in the track, no problems!3.) Put the vertical panels and shelves wherever you want! It's a personalized closet system! It can be changed if you don't like it.4.) For additional stability when you have the system installed how you like it, pre-drill 1/8" holes in the bottom of the rod holders and rods with any hand held drill and install small set screws to hold the rods in place. This is NOT necessary if you measured right and the system is installed SNUGGLY between two walls but I recommend it.5.) I always install one full length shelf which has to be purchased separately and is not available from Easy Track, along the top of the system. Put a few screws through the shelf into the tops of the vertical panels and this makes the installation even more stable.Bottom line is anyone with ambition and minimal skills can install Easy Track closet systems like a pro! You will be surprised how great you will feel when your closet is organized exactly how you wanted it to be and you did all the work yourself!

Great, flexible product

I've used these shelving kits in several homes. Always a hit.Just make sure you mount the bar level and at the recommended height. Also, make sureyou use the wall anchors supplied or hit studs. After that, installation is a snap.Another reviewer groused about the wide shelves. He/she might be happy to know thatyou can buy 12" shelves pre-cut. Also, it's not difficult to cut shelves to custom widthsif you have access to a table saw or are careful with a circular saw.Good luck!
