It's better than the others I've seen or used. The metal ones fail because the plastic fittings are cheesy and disintegrate with age. The other wooden ones fail because they are lighter gauge or have knots which weaken the joints. This one costs more, but appears likely to outlast the cheaper ones. Another good feature is the simplicity of the part designs. If a piece should happen to break, it looks like it would be easy to cut and drill a replacement. There are no fussy fittings to mess with. I didn't expect it would be perfectly rigid, but it is definitely more solid than the cheaper ones.

I am so pleased with my drying rack. It has plenty of hanging space, the dowels are sturdy and it is very well made.It folds down really easily.I would recommend this drying rack to anyone.

I would give this a zero star if I could. This product does not have hardwood dowels painted white--more like the dowels are compressed cardboard fibers or some pressed particles which are wrapped tightly in a plastic coating. This I found out as soon as one of the dowels popped out of the frame and broke off because at the juntion of frame and dowel the dowel is narrower and weak. This is a very cheap lousy copy of the older original wood racks I already have from a several years ago, which I use everyday. I would return it if I could because it is not worth the time to even fix it (and I missed the return window--but this is one of the very few times Amazon has disappointed me. Now, I feel that none of these honey can do dry are what they say they are. Hardwood?? I don't think so! Not recommended.
